Linked chat spaces

You can link chat spaces either while creating new spaces from Jigo in Jira, the Browser Extension or the Workspace Add-On. Linked chat spaces will be displayed in the Chat Panel in the linked Jira work item.

In our Chat work item panel you are able to:

• Create new Google Chat Spaces

• Link existing Google Chat Spaces

• Access existing linked chat spaces

  • Open chat space in Google Chat

  • Share or unshare chat space
    Shared chat spaces are visible to all users of the Jira work item that can access Jigo. Chat spaces shared by you will be indicated with a blue left border, chat spaces shared by others will be indicated with a yellow left border. This functionality is only available if Sharing is enabled in the Google Chat Integration Settings.

  • Join shared chat spaces
    If any user shared a chat spaces you are not already a member of, you are able to easily Join the chat space in this list. You will be invited as if the user who shared the chat space invited you yourself.

  • Unlink chat space
    This will remove the chat space from the list.

• Project Admins may configure Default Chat Spaces, which will be shown as suggestions in this panel, and can be linked with one click by any member of these chat spaces.

Create new Chat Space

Open

To create a new chat space enter a Name and select Members. Depending on your Google Workspace license you may only select internal users. The current user/creator will be added automatically, you do not need to add yourself to the members.

Here you can also select to link or share the event, if configured and available to your user.
