Search & Link Work Items
Click “Search Work Items” on the Welcome screen to display a search. Specify desired values to filter relevant work items.
Comments
The speech bubbles in the issue list lead to the comments of the clicked item.
Control comments and write new ones.
It is also possible to use the content of an open mail as comment.
Linking content to a work item
Link and share mails, events, chat spaces (or files) to a work item to see them in the Jira APP.
Sharing content means that everyone who can see the work item with the link can also see the shared content.
To link content the process is more or less the same. Open the desired content (f.e. an email) and with the extensions panel, search for the item to link to. There will be a “Manage links” button on the listed items.
This button is disabled if no linkable content is found. If this button stays disabled although f.e. a mail is open in the viewed tab, try refreshing this tab.
Linking Mails
While a mail is viewed, there are toggles in the “manage links” dialog. The toggles indicate that this mail or the thread is currently linked or shared.
Linking Chat Spaces
Just like linking mails, viewing a chat, also gives a dialog for linking or unlinking the open chat space. Also threads within chat spaces can be linked.
Linking Events
Just like linking mails and chats, with calendar open, clicking on an event will select it for linking.
Linking with Mutli Tab Mode
As mentioned, when “Mutli Tab Mode” is enabled in the settings, the extension gathers content from all opened tabs. Working over multiple tabs can look like this:
Linking or Uploading Files (Not available yet)
With Drive™ open, selecting files will show 2 buttons. The already explained “Link/Unlink” and another to upload the selected file as work item attachment. Uploading the file will not keep track of changes that may happen. It is simply a shorthand for downloading from drive and uploading as item attachment.
When more files are selected the “Link” button becomes a button to manage links.
Clicking “Manage links“ brings up a dialogue where you can see and change which files are linked to the item.
