My Assets - Page
The 'My Assets' page acts like your personal asset inventory. It gathers and displays all the assets that are connected to your Atlassian user account.
Important: If you're missing assets that you believe should be displayed, they might have been excluded by your Jira administrator in the app's configuration. Please contact your administrator to adjust the visibility settings.
Collapsed/Expanded View
By default, the assets in the 'My Assets' window are collapsed to provide a compact overview. To see more details about an asset, simply click the arrow on the right side of the asset. (See the image below for a visual example.)
When you expand an asset, you'll see a detailed overview of its information. This compact view provides a snapshot of the asset's key attributes and related data, making it easy to understand and manage. The layout might look something like this:
You can expand multiple assets simultaneously to compare their details side-by-side. This can be useful for identifying similarities, differences, or relationships between assets. When multiple assets are expanded, the 'My Assets' page might look like this:
Sort by
The 'Sort by' dropdown menu allows you to organize your assets in a way that makes sense to you. Here are the current sorting options:
Name: Sorts the assets alphabetically by their name. This is useful for quickly finding a specific asset.
Breadcrumb: This option sorts assets based on their hierarchical structure and their name. This means assets are first grouped by their location in the asset hierarchy, and then within each group, they are sorted alphabetically by name.
Search within
The 'Search within' dropdown menu allows you to refine your search by specifying which asset attributes to search within. For example, you could choose to search within the asset's name, breadcrumb, or attributes. This helps you narrow down your search and find the exact assets you're looking for.
Search
The search bar is where you can actively search for specific assets within your 'My Assets' page. Based on the attributes you've selected in the 'Search within' menu, you can type in keywords, names, descriptions, or any other relevant information to find the assets you need.
Example:
If you're looking for a laptop with a specific model name, you need to select 'Attributes' in the 'Search within' dropdown. Then, type the model name in the search bar, and the app will display matching laptops.
Note: If no results appear immediately, make sure you've selected 'Attributes' in the 'Search within' dropdown. You might need to start typing a name in the search bar to trigger the search.
