Linking content to an issue

Link mails, events, chat spaces or files to an issue to see them in the Jira APP.

To link content the process is more or less the same. Open the desired content (f.e. an email) and with the extensions panel search for the issue to link to. There should be control buttons depending on the content type to link. The following sections show wich types are supported and how the controls look like.

Linking Mails

While a mail is viewed, there is button in the issue list for every issue. “Link-“ or “Unlink Email“ depending if the mail is already linked.

Linking Chat Spaces

Just like linking mails, viewing a chat, also creates buttons for linking or unlinking the open chat space.

Linking Events

The overall process is the same as linking mails and chats. With calendar open, clicking on an event will select it for linking.

Linking or Uploading Files

With Drive™ open, selecting files will show 2 buttons. The already explained “Link/Unlink” and another to upload the selected file as issue attachment. Uploading the file will not keep track of changes that may happen. It is simply a shorthand for downloading from drive and uploading as issue attachment.

Linking Without Single Tab Mode

As mentioned, when “Single Tab Mode” is disabled in the settings, the extension uses information to link issues from other tabs. Working over multiple tabs can look like this:
