Google OAuth Scopes and Data Access

Google OAuth Scopes and Data Access

To provide Jigo's full functionality and integrate seamlessly with your Google Workspace, we require your permission to access specific information from your Google account. This access is managed through Google's secure OAuth (Open Authorization) system, which uses defined "scopes." Each scope grants Jigo permission to access certain types of data or perform specific actions within your Google services.

We are committed to the principle of least privilege, meaning we only request the minimum necessary scopes required for Jigo to function as intended and to provide you with the features you use.

Starting with version 1.6.2 you will also be able to consent only to scopes necessary for a specific feature, e.g. only scopes necessary for Gmail.

Below is a detailed list of the Google OAuth scopes we use, what they allow us to do, the data they access, and why we need them.

Important Note on Scope Changes

The OAuth scopes Jigo requires may change over time as we introduce new features or modify existing ones to improve your experience. We are committed to transparency regarding these changes. Any modifications to the scopes we use will be clearly communicated in our release notes.

We encourage you to review these notes with each update, which will also be highlighted in the Jigo Jira app as a notification.
